Refresh is looking for a Painting Crew Leader to join the team!

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Painting Crew Leader to manage a crew of painters focused on apartment turnovers. This is a full-time working supervisory position involving training and leading a crew of painters while strictly adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in painting, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. You will perform and oversee all aspects of the painting process ensuring high-quality workmanship is delivered to our clients.
Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop apprentice painters to meet company and client standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and train a small crew of painters to complete projects efficiently.
  • Conduct a pre-job inspection to determine the scope of work, prioritizing tasks, and develop a plan for each unit turn.
  • Perform professional-grade interior painting, including walls, ceilings, trim, cabinets, and doors.
  • Oversee and perform detailed surface preparation, including patching drywall and sanding.
  • Order and keep inventory of all necessary tools and supplies for the crew.
  • Ensure all surfaces are properly protected by masking and covering with drop cloths.
  • Safely operate and maintain all necessary tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and ladders.
  • Conduct a final inspection and perform punch list items to ensure all work meets company and customer standards.
  • Communicate proactively with the property management team regarding project status and any issues.
  • Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures on the job site.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.



Qualifications
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a supervisory or crew lead role in the painting industry.
  • 5+ years of painting experience.
  • Experience with apartment turnover painting is highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of surface preparation, paint application methods, and different paint types.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy containers, bending, and working on ladders.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with team members and clients.


Compensation
Weekly compensation for the position ranges from $1,000 - $1,350 based on experience and bonuses earned. PTO and paid holidays are offered to our full-time employees. Potential for advancement opportunities within the company.
